This game is done with ideally 3 on a court, although it will work with 4 per court following 3⁄4 court rules, for safety.
The goal of the game is to end on the top court. Players are grouped by ability, the strongest players starting on the bottom court, and the weakest on the top court.
Play is for 5 minutes, following the 3-person model. At the end of 5 minutes the player with the highest score moves up on court; the player with the lowest score moves down; the player in the middle remains in the same court.
The advantage of this game is that all players tend to have an opportunity to play other players they would not normally play with due to their relative rankings. Yet it doesn’t take too long (usually 20 minutes or 4 rounds) and the groups have sorted out and game ends with players matched with comparable opponents.
