The Ottawa District Squash Association runs a very successful open league.
The open league is a great opportunity for competitive players to have matches with other players of similar standard from across the city.
League matches start the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving until mid April, for 25 weeks in total.
Each team is comprised of 4 players. The schedule is such that the team will play approximately 50% of their matches at their home club and the balance at clubs around the city.
The teams are organized into seven divisions with six teams per division. The teams are placed in their starting divisions based on the average ranking of the individual team members, and at the discretion of the league convener. It’s expected that the team be made of individuals of comparable rank.
The season is divided into 5 sessions, of 5 weeks in each session. At the end of each session the top placed team will move
up one division and the bottom placed team will move down.
